While a full-time student, I also worked on campus as a peer academic advisor and was elected to the School Board.Professional:After three years in the banking industry in Reno, Nevada, I moved to Elk Grove, California in 1988 and began a career with New York Life as a Financial Advisor. In addition to numerous other awards, I achieved the All-Pro Award for being in the top 100 out of 12,000 agents as measured by profitability.In 1997 I worked to become a top producer for EFS Card Services. I served on the president's advisory council and was responsible for creating training materials that were copy written and used throughout the nation by my employer.Following My Dream:I have to thank my wife, Karen, for encouraging me to live my dream. She actually became a licensed Realtor before I did.
